Weekend Cleaning - The Never Ending Battle!

Why doesn't my house look CLEAN like this for more than 5 minutes at a time?

HONESTLY, it feels like I'm the only one who ever puts things away around here?!

I wish that I could just wave my magic wand and clean up all the dishes, shoes, homework, music, instruments, sports gear and sundry in the blink of an eye!

INSTEAD, every weekend I try to get my house back to it's former glory.....

but I'm afraid it's a losing battle!

So, tonight I'm just gonna throw in the towel for the time being and CHILL OUT in the HOT TUB with a glass of red wine and my favorite fella.......

Maybe I'll get to the cleaning TOMORROW.

Now, my Hong Kong Winnie the Pooh Bear Giveaway is still open to any blogger peeps who leave me a comment this week.  Just let me know how you get your house cleaning done normally.  Do you do one BIG clean a week?  Or do you pick one ROOM per day?  What's the thing you HATE most to clean?  Personally, the bathroom is MY nemesis.  I hate cleaning toilets, don't you?

I will announce the winner of Monday morning!

My biggest dislike is folding laundry. More often then not, I pick clean clothes out of a giant pile of clean laundry on the floor in front of the dryer :)

I totally agree with you Tamara, i dislike cleaning the house and dishes are the worst. That is why my husband does them. As for laundry we are unfortunate not to have a washer and dryer in our building so we have to bring it all to the laundry mat, which is a couple blocks from here. So my husband takes it all and does it. I love my hubby!

WoW-- that house sure looks clean to me! Almost new as a matter of fact. I don't know how you manage to get so much accomplished! Do you have help?

I imagine it is because you've got kids! But, then again, my house doesn't stay neat either. I have two hairy dogs and a husband.

I sweep the living room and kitchen twice a day, but I rarely mop or do a good clean. It just always seems pointless. By the time I've finished tidying enough that I can consider dusting or mopping, I'm tired or fed up with everyone in the house for not helping.

We are supposed to clean our houses? Now you tell me.
Ironing....I detest ironing. The piles grow and grow.

I stay at home with my two girls so I do a little housework each day, plus at least one load of laundry per day (which I hang to dry). I actually don't mind housework too much--especially since picking up a few tips from "Flylady.com" So, now that I've finished bragging.....I hope you enjoy your nice clean house for a while! At least for the weekend when you are home to enjoy it....

Dishes are my worst. Just got everything nice and tidy, and gotta get ready for snack time or meal time - AGAIN. It seems we're always eating. But with 4 kids who leave dishes around, a baby who throws food on the floor, and a hubby who works shiftwork, it keeps me hopping.
How do I keep up? I don't. But I'm always busy, and my kids are much loved. To me, that is more important. (Short of advising you to hire a full-time housekeeper/cook, I don't have any tips for you - sorry!)

If I had chosen to clean one room per day, I wouldn't have any time for ME and my hobbies!!! That would make me...crazy!!!I try to clean my house every Friday or Thursday and Friday. It depends on the amount of the jobs. So when the weekend comes, I'm ready to have some friends in the house and the only thing I have to do is cooking! Ofcourse I need some hours everyday to make this...chaos to a house again! The funny thing is that everybody says "you're lucky, you have two girls so you have help" BUT they don't know that my girls hate housecleaning so...
I just hate ironing!!! That's why I always have some clothes for ironing! They never end...!!!

I don't care for folding laundry. The boys clean the bathroom daily (taking turns) and on Saturdays I do a "big" clean in there. We have a small house so it gets tidied up every day, and right after it's tidied, it gets messy again. Ah well, it's clean enough to be healthy and messy enough to be lived in.
