Hooked on "BEFORE" and "AFTER"

Don't you just love "BEFORE" and "AFTER" blog posts? It's just so fun to see how things can be transformed from one thing to another. I'm really HOOKED on "BEFORE" and "AFTER" stuff so I thought, if you're as hooked as I am, you'd appreciate a few of my "BEFORE" and "AFTER" shots of the baby nursery we've been working on over at my little Angle's house. It's all finished and ready for the Wee One to make his/her appearance.

Here's the "BEFORE" picture of the room when it was just at the white primer stage. and here's the "AFTER" shot......all finished and ready for occupancy. Here's the "BEFORE" shot of my little Angle at 17 weeks........and here she is at 6 days OVERDUE! Not quite an "AFTER" shot but.......You're on the home stretch now, sweetheart. Not too much longer, I promise!

Here's the "BEFORE" shot of the original artwork being created especially for the Wee One......and here is the "AFTER" shot, adding a bold splash of color and fun to the room. Here's a "BEFORE" shot of our fabric for the color coordinated pillows.......and here's the "AFTER" shot. We are pretty proud of ourselves for making these from scratch after a very long hiatus from using a sewing machine.

The even better "AFTER" shot shows those very same pillows nestled neatly on the window bench we upholstered ourselves.
Don't you just love "AFTER" shots?!

Now, if only the Wee One, shown here in this "BEFORE" shot.......would hurry up and make an appearance so we can post an "AFTER" shot. We just can't wait :)

Be sure you stop by Hooked on Houses today to see what everyone else is hooked on as well. It's so much fun to check out all the amazing stuff going on out there in blog land!

Now I leave you with a few more photos to fulfill that deep seated need to see what became of our nursery make and also make sure to give the men in the family credit for all their hard work on doing things like painting and construction.
It couldn't have come together without you guys!

Congratulations on your to-be arrival! I hope the baby comes soon. :) The nursery is adorable. The stripes aren't too "baby" and can transition nicely in a few years.

In your spare 5 minutes a day you can start a decorating blog and business.
Best of luck to the mom and baby.

In reality the baby won't care what the nursery looks like for a long time. It's the new parents who will care what their space looks like. They will be spending a lot of time there, and it looks great. Very cute and calm. I absolutely love the green color. My nursery was painted Benjamin Moore Dill Pickle and I still love it.

You all did a great job decorating the nursery. It's so fresh and cheerful and perfect for either a boy or a girl :-)

The original artwork is such a nice touch, and the yellow giraffe (I think it's a giraffe!!) on the window sill is so cute :-)
